What Does NERC Do?

The North East Radio Club encourages all types of radio and allied interests in electronics, with an emphasis on amateur radio. The club is primarily for people residing in the North East suburbs of Adelaide.

The club is involved in several aspects of the hobby, including the operation of:

 VHF 2m voice repeater  (VK5RHO 146.850 MHz)

 UHF 70cm voice repeater  (VK5RHO 439.875 MHz)

APRS node for the metro area  (VK5RHO 145.175 MHz)

 Sunday broadcast compilation and presentation

Morse training beacon  (VK5VF 145.650 MHz)

We also encourage social participation in amateur radio through visits to other clubs and our own socially orientated meetings at times during the year.

We are committed to providing interesting and informative meetings which usually have a talk, demonstration, or an activity to involve members. NERC also participates in amateur radio contests and the popular scout Jamboree On The Air (JOTA).

We have certified examination assessors and we regularly conduct training and assessment sessions at the clubrooms. If you are interested in obtaining a licence, or wish to upgrade your existing licence, Click Here.
